HINDI nakadalo si Dimples Romana sa katatapos lang na Gawad Parangal ng 48th Metro Manila Film Festival nitong Dec. 27, 2022 kaya hindi rin niya personal na natanggap ang trophy sa pagkakapanalo niya bilang Best Supporting Actress para sa pelikulang “My Father Myself.”
“Biggest pahabol blessing. Father God, I feel unworthy and yet you bless me still with so much more than what I feel I deserve,” reaksyon ni Dimples sa kanyang nakuhang award na ipinost niya sa Instagram.
Ang buong cast ng “My Father Myself” ang tumanggap ng award ni Dimoles. “So fitting that Jake Cuenca, Quinn Carillo, Sean de Guzman and Tiff accepted the award on my behalf because my work as ‘Amanda’ would not have been as stellar if not for the strong commitment to excellence everyone on set have put out for our film. Silang apat kasama pa sina Direk Joel Lamangan, Nay Len Carillo, Mother Dennis and the whole team inspired me to give it my very best to make sure my work is at par with theirs. What a joy to work with people who empower you to do be better always. I remember the phone call I received for this project from Mother Dennis and Nay Len, and it may not be the usual film that would be offered to me but I understood my place as an actress to play the role of ‘Amanda’, the wife of Robert who loves him unconditionally with every facet and complexity of his character,” pagbabahagi pa ng aktres.
“Amanda was suffering, she was pained and yet she chooses to forgive, to understand because she loves. Love is such a powerful tool to push us all beyond our comfort zones and propel us to heights with which we think we’d never reach,” dagdag pa niya. Ayon pa kay Dimples unexpected ang pagkakapanalo niya ng acting award. Mabuti na lang daw at nag-risk siya na tanggapin ang project. “A risk worth taken. A blessing unforeseen, unexpected but definitely embraced. Thank you po @mmffofficial , my @abscbn @starmagicphils, Tay @direklauren, Kuya @alan_m_real sa patuloy na pagaalaga, pagmamahal at pagtitiwala,” deklara pa niya. Pinasalamatan din ni Dimples ang mahal na asawa sa bagong blessings na natanggap kasunod ng paghahandog ng kanyang award sa lahat ng mga “Amanda” sa mundo.
“Sa lahat ng mga Amanda, na patuloy na nagmamahal at umuunawa, yumayakap sa mga taong mahal natin ng walang pagtatanong, pag-aaalinlangan at panunumbat, anuman ang kasarian natin, ang pagmamahal ay pagmamahal,” huling pahayag ng award winning actress.
