Promising ang new star to watch na si Meili Holmes.
Siya ang napili ni Direk Manu Respall na gumanap bilang Naia princess sa multi-platform series na “Ecean of the Crescent Realm.”
Ani Meili, isang karangalan para sa kanya ang mapasama sa high fantasy/sci-fi series ni Direk Manu.
“When he told me about his concept, I was literally in awe. I said to myself, this is the project I really wanted to do, ” aniya.
Sobrang bilib din daw siya sa malikhaing imahinasyon ng kanyang direktor.
“I know, it’s gonna be a game changer and I want to be a part of it,” bulalas niya.
Bagamat wala pa siyang exposure sa movies, may karanasan naman si Meili sa pag-arte sa teatro.
“I used to do musical theater.I am a product of Julie Borromeo’s Performing Arts. I’ve played several roles in musicals like “Annie”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Gypsy”, “The Greatest Showman” and a lot more,” pagbabahagi niya.
Hirit pa niya, idolo raw niya ang Broadway diva at Tony award-winning actress na si Lea Salonga.
“I look up to her.She is my idol. When sings or when she performs, she sings from the heart. I want to do that, too. That is actually passion and you can see and feel that’s coming from her heart,”bulalas niya.
Kahit iniidolo niya si Lea, hindi pa raw naman siya nabibigyan ng pagkakataon na makilala ang icon nang personal.
“Of course, I love to meet her in person.I haven’t seen her perform live but I do watch her shows and concerts and online,”deklara niya.
Sey pa niya, dream role daw niya ang gumanap bilang Glenda sa “Wicked.”
“I’ve always wanted to be Glenda in “Wicked.” That was my dream role, ” pagbibida niya.
Bilang paghahanda naman sa kanyang role, bet niyang sumabak sa acting workshops.
“I wanna brush up on my Tagalog.If I need to an acting class, I’ll take it to be better,” ayon kay Meili.
Mahilig din daw siyang manood ng Pinoy movies at TV series.
“Dating pinapanood ko po iyong “On The Wings of Love” ng JaDine.I was so enamored sa story. My mom also used to watch the kilig series,”sey niya.
Kung mabibigyan daw ng pagkakataon , gusto niyang makatrabaho si Alden Richards.
“I watched one of his movies and I became an instant fan,”pagtatapos niya.
Sa “Ecean of the Crescent Realm” ay lumikha ang visionary filmmaker na si Manu Respall ng sarili niyang mundo kung saan itatampok ang mga pakikipagsapalaran ng prinsipe ng Ellidaurr para iligtas ang Therra o second earth sa ecological destruction.
