KAABANG-ABANG kung sino sa apat na movie queens na magsasabong – sina Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos (When I Met You In Tokyo),  Megastar Sharon Cuneta (Family Of Two), Diamond Star Maricel Soriano (In His Mother’s Eyes), at Superstar Nora Aunor (Pieta) – ang tatanghaling Movie Actress of the Year sa 40th Star Awards for Movies ng PMPC. First time mangyayari sa Star Awards for Movies sa loob ng 40 taon ng pagbibigay ng parangal na magkakasabay na nominado para sa Movie Actress of the Year sina Vilma, Sharon, Maricel, at Nora kaya matinding bakbakan ito. Igagawad ang Lifetime Achievement Awards sa dalawang haligi ng Philippine showbiz na sina veteran actress Liza Lorena (Nora Aunor Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Award) at veteran movie producer Vic del Rosario Jr. (Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera Lifetime Achievement Award). Kikilalanin bilang Takilya King and Queen sina Dingdong Dantes at Marian Rivera dahil sa record-breaking success ng pelikula nilang Rewind. Bibigyang-parangal ng Ethel Ramos Dean’s Lister Award ang veteran columnist at dating PMPC President na si Ronald Constantino dahil sa malaking ambag niya sa club at maging sa industriya. The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) leads the Philippine delegation at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market in France.  The Philippines is represented by Carl Papa’s “Iti Mapukpukaw” (“The Missing”), Keith Sicat’s “EWA,” and Filipino projects in development and animation companies at the world’s biggest animation film festival and market. Eight (😎 Filipino projects in development are featured at the world’s biggest animation film market for the opportunity to acquire funding and co-production deals. Filipino representatives have the chance to pitch their respective projects and establish connections with their global counterparts. 1. Ad Memoriam When a rock band suddenly rises to game thanks to a series of deaths, an old detective races against time to save the singer from the clutches of her own demons, figuratively and literally.
