MARAMING juicy revelation na  pinakawalan si Martin Nievera nang maging panauhin siya sa latest episode ng vlog ng kilalang showbiz journalist na si Aster Amoyo. Sa pa-throwback niya, sa guesting daw niya sa show ni Pilita Corrales unang nagka-interes ang Vicor executive na si Vic Del Rosario,Jr. na nagbigay sa kanya ng break. Breakthrough naman niya ang Penthouse Live para makilala siya bilang isang magaling na host. Inamin din niyang naging struggle sa kanya even up to now ang hindi pagiging matatas sa Tagalog kaya naman hindi masasabing cut siya sa pag-arte. Feeling din niya na ang strength niya ay nasa larangan ng pagkanta at pagho-host. Way back sa Tate at bago pa man siya sumabak ay paborito na raw niyang manood ng talk shows nina Johnny Carson, Larry King, Jay Leno at iba pa.

Hindi rin daw niya malilimutan ang una niyang concert na ginanap sa Folk Arts Theater. Sobra raw ang adulation sa kanya ng mga fan kung saan aminado siyang habang kumakanta siya ay nasisintunado siya. Ito raw ay dahil hindi sila magkarinigan ng kanilang banda. Aminado naman siyang dumanas sa krisis ang kanyang karera nang magkahiwalay sila ni Pops. Naging national issue rin daw noon ang pagiging hindi niya tapat kay Pops at pagkakaroon ng anak sa ibang babae. Dumalang daw ang kanyang offers at pati mga nagtitiwala sa kanya ay nabawasan.

Naisip daw niya noong sa Vegas na lang siya muling magsimula kung saan may offer sa kanya na maging resident performer ng isang tanyag na hotel. Ang kaso, nagoyo raw siya ng promoter kung saan sa loob ng 70 days ay nagpe-perform siya nang hindi nababayaran. Abonado pa nga raw siya dahil siya pa ang nagpapasweldo sa kanyang banda. Ibinenta raw niya noon ang kanyang bahay at kotse sa Maynila para matustusan ang pangangailangan niya sa Tate. Mula sa hotel ay tumira pa nga raw siya noon sa isang bodega. Nang aminin daw naman niya ang kanyang pagkakamali sa hiwalayan nila ni Pops, doon daw muling nabalik ang pagtitiwala sa kanya ng mga tao.

BUSINESSWOMAN KAYE TINGA IS THE NEW CULTURAL CENTER OF THE PHILIPPINES PRESIDENT

The Cultural Center of the Philippines welcomes its new president, businesswoman and philanthropist Kaye Tinga. She will assume the duties of the presidency on June 1, 2024, allowing her time to fully acclimate in her new role. Tinga will take responsibility for the operations of the CCP, working closely with the management. Her presidency was approved by the CCP Board of Trustees, following the election during the board meeting on May 15, 2024. She became part of the Board after her appointment from Malacañang Palace in April 2024. She replaced early childhood educator Michelle Nikki Junia, who acted as president ad interim from September 2023 to March 2024. Championing Filipino design talents, Tinga is the co-founder and co-chairperson of the Red Charity Gala, a prestigious annual event that aims to celebrate local fashion through the works of renowned Filipino designers including Dennis Lustico, Furne One, Michael Cinco, Cary Santiago, Ezra Santos, Jojie Lloren, Lesley Mobo, Chito Vijandre, Joey Samson, Rajo Laurel, and Ivarluski Aseron. The gala also raises substantial funds for charitable causes, including for the Philippine Red Cross. A business economics graduate from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, with MBA from Fordham University, she is the co-founder and managing director of W/17, a home furnishing and accessories brand that collaborated with with craftsmen from various regions across the Philippines, including from Cebu, Cavite, Pampanga, and Dumaguete.

Through her leadership, her brand has been promoting local artisans, cultural skills preservation, and economic development. Nurturing the next generation of creative talents, Tinga serves as a board member of MINT College, a business and creative arts college and senior high school that provides an innovative learning experience and empowers young people through its pioneering programs such as music business management, multimedia arts, and film and video. Married to former Taguig Mayor and Congressman Freddie Tinga, and mother to four children, Tinga balances her professional and philanthropic activities with her family life, and interests in design and travel. The CCP Board of Trustees is headed by Dr. Jaime C. Laya, with Margie Moran Floirendo and Carissa Oledan Coscolluela as Vice Chairs. Completing the Board are real estate magnate Isidro A. Consunji, award-winning conductor Jonathan Velasco, PR maven Junie del Mundo, master light designer Felix “Monino” Duque, Atty. Gizela M. Gonzalez, and entrepreneur Marivic del Pilar.
