Ito ay ginawa niya sa ekslusibong panayam sa kanya ng Esquire magazine. Inamin niya na nagdi-date sila ng filmmaker at creative partner at happy daw naman sila sa relasyon nila sa kasalukuyan. “Yes, I’m seeing Iris,” ani Xian. “Just to clear everything, to clear all the speculations. And, you know, she doesn’t deserve all that flak. We don’t deserve that because all the things na people are saying, there’s no truth to any of it,” deklara niya. Nahingan naman siya ng paliwanag tungkol sa ano ang tinutumbok niya sa naging panayam sa kanya ng Boy Abunda sa Fast Talk tungkol sa pag-ibig. Sa pagbabalik-tanaw, sinabi niya na dumarating ang punto na naglalaho rin ang pagmamahal sa isang tao. Ani Xian noon: “Love is very painful and it’s also a very magical feeling,” he said to talk show host Boy Abunda. “But at a certain point, love disappears and I think doon na magiging choice ang pagmamahalan nyo, if you choose to stay together and fight for each other, no matter what it is.” Sey naman niya, sariling opinyon daw niya iyon at maaaring iba ang pananaw ng ibang tao. *It’s my general view and it’s how I see love,” sambit niya. “Of course, when you find someone, ang unang stages niyan is the infatuation phase. But what happens when the infatuation phase is gone? That’s when love becomes a choice. And you to decide na you will fight through it till the end. So I think that’s just my general perception, that’s not directed towards anyone,” pagtatapos niya.
CCP CELEBRATES LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENTS AND EXEMPLARY WORKS WITH GAWAD CCP AWARDS 2024
AFTER an intensive selection process and deliberations, the Cultural Center of the Philippines announces the individuals and organizations that will receive the prestigious Gawad CCP Para sa Sining 2024. It is voted on by the CCP Board of Trustees after a rigorous nomination and deliberation process. The Gawad CCP Para Sa Sining is the highest award given by CCP to artists or groups of artists in dance, music, theater, film and broadcast arts, literature, visual arts, architecture, and allied arts and design who have/had consistently produced outstanding works in their particular art form or have/had evolved a distinct style or technique that enriches the development of their particular art form. The award also recognizes artists or groups of artists who have made outstanding contributions to the culture of the region of their birth or residence, as well as outstanding cultural workers who, through their works either in research, curatorship, arts management, or administration, have helped to develop or enrich particular art forms or Philippine culture in general. A special award, Tanging Parangal ng CCP, is given to individuals or organizations in the government and/or private sector for their outstanding services, efforts, and/or contributions that have significantly affected the development and support of the arts and/or other cultural activities in the country. The awardees for Category A are: Generoso “Gener” Caringal, for his choreographic works.
